Ritotno dopo una lunga assenza con l'album della settimana, scusate se non mi sono fatto vivo ultimamente ma avevo voglia di strisciare e così ho fatto, comunque oggi vi parlo di un gran album:
Black Sabbath- Masters of reality
Bene quindi parliamo del primo album stoner-doom della storia, uscito poco dopo il mitico Paranoid questo masters of reality è caratterizato da riff ripetitivi e pesanti, con un indole psichedelica, è tra l'altro la prima volta che una band rock utilizza un'accordatura diversa dal Mi
che in questo album viene abbassata di 1 tono e 1/2. I temi trattati vanno dalla Marjuana (sweet leef) alla protesta contro la guerra (children of the grave , into the void) passando per i soliti temi mistici che caratterizzano la carriera dei Sabbath dall' inizio.
Per quello che riguarda la musica come ho gia detto chitarre pesanti, canzoni dalla struttura a volte semplice ed immediata, altre volte complicata e virtuosistica, quindi parliamo di un album veramente completo per avere solo 8 tracce. Non mancano le chitarre acustiche e le percussioni in questo disco che può essere visto non solo come progenitore dello stoner ma anche come patriarca dell' Heavy Metal più cupo e oscuro, niente male per essere solo il '71...
Non ho molto altro da dire su questo masters of reality, a parte che dovrebbe essere ascoltatato da tutti i metallari (anche se credo siano pochi quello che non lo hanno fatto), darkabbestia e ogni altra schifezza gotica che inquina la società civile, compresi i fattoni stoner e paranoici fan degli Him, se volete sapere da dove è cominciato tutto ciò ecco la riposta...(non dimenticate che siamo negli anni '70 e la voce usava essere in tonalità alte) io direi niente male per essere solo un album hard rock!

Miglior pezzo lento: l'unico dell' album la fantastica solitude
